Professor Harini Chandramouli Named Nielsen Center Fellow

St. Petersburg, FL — Harini Chandramouli, assistant professor of Mathematics, was named to the inaugural cohort of Nielsen Center Fellows at The Nielsen Center for the Liberal Arts at Eckerd College on Thursday, January 6.

The Center was created at the Florida institution in 2021 to provide workshops and other learning opportunities for early-career faculty at small liberal arts schools.

Chandramouli was one of 12 faculty members from across the country to be selected in the first fellowship group and the only one from Georgia.

According to a release from The Nielsen Center, cohort members will learn more about improving course design, building confidence in classroom management skills and gaining the capacity to advocate for the importance of a liberal arts education, among other topics.

The fellowship spans three weekends throughout 2022, beginning in late January.
