Agnes Scott College Welcomes Nicole Long as Vice President for Finance and Administration

DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott College today announced Nicole Long will become vice president for finance and administration effective April 10, 2023. As chief financial officer, she will oversee the college’s finances; accounting, facilities, and dining operations; institutional technology; and public safety.

Long brings a wealth of experience in finance, planning and innovation. Her career spans 25 years in finance with Fortune 500 companies, most recently as Senior Finance Director, NA and LATAM Consumer Packaging at WestRock, supporting a $3.3 billion business in packaging needs across food, beverage, healthcare, home and beauty sectors. She led a team focused on strategic planning, reporting, analytics and innovation support. She previously held positions with The Coca-Cola Company, AT&T and General Motors.

“Nicole is an exceptional leader who will bring strategic vision and financial acumen to Agnes Scott,” said Leocadia I. Zak, president of Agnes Scott College. “She drove innovation and results in some of the nation’s largest companies and will be an invaluable addition to the college as we advance our commitment to women, the liberal arts and our global community.”

Long earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in finance at Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 

Passionate about community service and learning and development, she has served on several boards, including the Cole Society of United Way of Greater Atlanta, Liberation Academy, the Pretty Brown Girl Foundation and the National Association of Black Accountants. She has been a facilitator and keynote speaker for organizations such as Coca-Cola, AICPA, Inroads, Monica Motivates, National Black MBA Association and United Way of Greater Atlanta. While at The Coca-Cola Company, she co-directed the relationship between Coca-Cola and Mary Hall Freedom House, partnering with associates to facilitate workplace readiness training for women overcoming addiction.
