Inclusive Health Equity Leads the Conversation at Agnes Scott College’s Fifth Annual Women’s Global Leadership Conference

ATLANTA – Agnes Scott College will host its annual Women’s Global Leadership Conference (WGLC) on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Presser Hall’s Gaines Chapel. Now in its fifth year, the conference welcomes Dr. Mandy Cohen, Director for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), who will frame this very important conversation in a fireside chat with college president, Leocadia Zak. Veteran journalist Rose Scott (WABE) returns as a panel moderator and will propel the dialogue around the theme, Inclusive Health Equity.

“Agnes Scott is and will continue to be a place where ideas and diverse ideologies can be freely exchanged,” said Leocadia I. Zak, President of Agnes Scott College. “Health equity is a critical issue that impacts everyone, and the Women’s Global Leadership Conference is our marquee event where students, faculty and the greater community can engage with each other to examine these matters and explore opportunities to effect real and lasting change.”
